Another Garageband Track

Submitted by matt on Sun, 2006-07-09 17:42.

Here's another blues instrumental created with Garageband. This time I used only our new MacBook's internal microphone and line-in jack (no Firepod this time) in order to see what could be done without any specialized hardware. The answer is: quite a bit -- it turned out pretty good! I'm quite impressed with that little built-in mic. Files are attached to this article in OGG and MP3 formats.

More Garageband Nonsense

Submitted by matt on Thu, 2006-04-13 20:21.

Well I've spent some more time with Garageband, and you can click below to hear the results (attached to this story in both OGG and MP3 format). It sounds so clean and together, you'd think I spent hours on it. But Garageband just takes care of alot of the technical stuff you usually get bogged down with, making music creation fast and easy.

I also finally got some use out of the harmonicas I got for Christmas. Thanks Jenny!

*EDIT* Attachments weren't showing up properly. Now they are. Thanks Dad!

Messin' with Garageband

Submitted by matt on Sun, 2006-04-02 19:03.

Well I've been messing with Garageband on our new iMac and I made this little "song" using only the included loops (no recording). Garageband is very cool and I think I'll be making plenty of use of it. Click on "attachments" below to listen (MP3 or OGG format).

Blackbird, Uncut

Submitted by matt on Mon, 2005-10-03 17:09.

The Beatles didn't want you to hear this. Paul Mcartney has kept it hidden in his personal archives for the past forty years. But after all this time, here it is, painstakingly restored from old soggy tape by highly trained simian sound technicians: Blackbird, Uncut (VBR MP3) (or OGG) . It will amaze you (at least, if you listen all the way through 'till the end...).

*Edit* Uploaded new, cleaned-up, version.
